about this poster

Bayonne poster, Basque pelota player with chistera

Dressed in white with a red sash at the waist, a Basque pelota player hurls his chistera in front of the fronton wall in Bayonne. The ball flies through the air while spectators and plane trees frame the scene. This Basque pelota poster catches the moment the ball leaves the wicker glove, with a momentum that runs through the whole image. The whites, reds and greens echo the colors of the Basque Country. The title “BAYONNE” accompanies this lively, popular sporting scene.

A pelota poster for a living room or a club

Vertical and luminous, it hangs in a living room, an entryway, an office or the clubhouse of a trinquet. Its whites and reds go well with Basque linen, wood, leather and stone. It can join other posters of the Basque Country or traditional sports. It is a gift for a pelotari, a cesta punta fan, a family from Bayonne or a lover of Basque culture who wants to display it at home.
