about this poster

Straight razor and shaving brush poster, “Close Shave”

On a wooden cabinet, a straight razor with a wooden handle rests on a porcelain soap bowl, next to a shaving brush. Behind it, a tall green glass aftershave bottle stands with its chrome atomizer. A white towel with a red stripe hangs over the edge of the cabinet. The title “Close Shave” accompanies this barber still life, set in front of a navy blue wall edged with a frieze of red tiles. This shaving poster is understated, precise and very masculine in its colors.

A barber poster for the bathroom

Its navy blue with touches of red and green dresses up a bathroom, a shower room or a dressing room. In portrait orientation, it fits next to a mirror, above a sink or a wooden cabinet. It pairs well with chrome fixtures, white subway tile, dark wood and leather. It can also decorate a barbershop. It is a perfect gift for a man who takes care of his beard, a fan of traditional shaving or a barber opening a shop.

Your questions

What does “Close Shave” mean?

“A close shave” means a very smooth shave, but also, figuratively, a narrow escape. The title accompanies a straight razor, a shaving brush and an aftershave bottle.

Who is this shaving poster a gift for?

It will delight a fan of traditional shaving, a well-groomed bearded man or a barber. It works very well in a men’s bathroom or a hair salon.

Choosing the size and the spot

Measure the space available on your wall, allowing for the frame you want to use. Then compare the sizes offered on this page and check the orientation of the artwork.

For a set of several posters, also plan the gaps between the frames. Keep your decor away from water splashes and heat sources.
