Edelweiss and gentians alpine meadow poster

Edelweiss and gentians poster in a flowering alpine meadow

The eye settles at flower level, in the heart of an alpine meadow. In the grass shine the silvery stars of edelweiss and the deep blue of gentians, while a tall stem of great yellow gentian rises beside them. Farther back, a wooden hay barn and a few grazing cows fill the green valley, in front of snow-capped mountains. This edelweiss poster, in landscape format, blends botany and mountain scenery in a fresh, crisp light. The title “ALPINE BLOOM,” meaning alpine flowering, accompanies the scene.

A flower of the high peaks for a chalet or bedroom

It’s easy to imagine in a chalet, a bedroom, a living room with natural tones or the entryway of a mountain home. Its landscape format suits the space above a bed, a bench or a sideboard. The blue of the gentians and the green of the meadow pair well with raw wood, boiled wool, plaid fabrics and stone. It forms a lovely set with other mountain or wildflower posters. A great gift for a female hiker, an amateur botanist, a lover of the Alps or a chalet housewarming.
