about this poster

Cinema projector poster with 2 reels, “REEL MAGIC”

A classic film projector, with its 2 large reels mounted on their arms, stands out in the dim light of a theater, facing 2 spectators seen from behind. A beam of light escapes from it and streaks toward the screen. The title “REEL MAGIC” appears in capitals beneath this cinema projector poster, a tribute to film stock and the work of projectionists. The contrast between the shadows of the room and the brightness of the beam gives the image a hushed atmosphere, centered on the machinery of the projector.

A tribute to film for a home theater or office

Vertical and high-contrast, it fits right into a home theater, a living room or an office in dark tones. It pairs well with brushed metal, dark wood and shelves of DVDs or vinyl records. Near a modern video projector, it creates a playful nod between 2 eras of cinema. You can complete it with other movie theater posters. It makes a great gift for a film buff, a collector of projection equipment or a film student finishing their studies.

Your questions

What does the title “REEL MAGIC” mean?

It’s a play on words: a “reel” is a spool of film and sounds like “real.” So it can be read as “the magic of the reel” or “real magic,” echoing the projector shown.

Which room is best for this projector poster?

It’s a perfect fit for a home theater, a living room or an office. Its dark tones and beam of light go well with a decor of dark wood and metal.

Choosing the size and the spot

Measure the space available on your wall, allowing for the frame you want to use. Then compare the sizes offered on this page and check the orientation of the artwork.

For a set of several posters, also plan the gaps between the frames. Keep your decor away from water splashes and heat sources.
